Inspired from the unrivalled craftsmanship of Italy's finest glassmakers, Fili D’Erba 72 is a spectacle in Murano glass, beautifully supported by slender legs interwoven like horns. Whimsical in form and intricate in shape, this centrepiece comes in various options: smaller, single-base comes with either a round or oval glass base; while longer, double-base are in rectangle or oval forms. Atop, the 15-mm glass expanse glistens with the colours of the sea – blue, turquoise and frosted white, but alternatively, choose the white frost option for a subtler hue. Underneath, its legs are crafted from Murano glass, polished with either Calcedonio, Rugiada, or the combination of Murine and gold.
Exquiste Murano Glass Furniture Murano's reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction of the city's mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291. Murano glass is hand made by the Master. To become a Murano Master, it takes 15 to 20 years serving the longest apprenticeship of its type anywhere on the planet. If you have never seen a Master glass blower in action, then we strongly urge you to do so. They use skills handed down over 800 years to create unique items of mindblowing technical difficulty and sheer brilliance that will not devalue. Moderne Living’s Murano furniture offers no margin for error when they are being created. Then, once they have finished and have been placed in the annealing oven for 24 hours to cool from 1200 degrees Celsius to around 50 to 80 degrees, there is still a chance that each creation can suffer a catastrophic failure if the Master has not used the right techniques and manipulations when the glass piece has been blown.
To give a new expression and a different meaning to the crystal industrial technology, Reflex was born more than twenty years ago with this ambitious aim. Through precious lessons deriving from the tradition of the family glassworks established in the 40s, the industrial glass, so charming with its linear essentiality, is enriched and warmed by shapes and colours that, although they are topical, always refer to the inexhaustible heritage of the Venetian handicraft, with intelligence and creativity, giving life to a product unique of its kind. This company, the first one that used the Murano massive glass as a base for its tables, has always been privileging the use high-quality materials, such as glass, marble, forged iron and wood, applying new contrasts and technological processes on the cutting edge, with a craft mastery.
