The family of Esse upholstered chairs designed for Pianca consists of two armchairs, one of which has a solid base, and of one chair. “Esse” therefore recalls an iconic, continuous sign, the “S”, visible in the seat profile, and also the idea of femininity which makes the object welcoming, curvy and harmoniously designed. The polyurethane shell is covered in fabric.

"The combination of beauty and function": this has been the Pianca philosophy throughout history. Pianca was established in 1946 in Gaiarine, in the heart of one of the main Italian industrial districts and the home of “Made in Italy” furniture. Through time, Pianca has stayed true to its core values: a search for a “pure design”, flexibility in production, and devotion to quality and service.
